I love dogs and am increasingly saddened by the number of reports I see regarding animal abuse. My heart breaks to hear of their neglect. Dogs deserve better treatment. I really wanted to make an album of music, drawing inspiration from “Dog stories” from around the world, as a tribute to our life-long companions. The process of writing this music has deepened my love for the dogs in my life.
A portion of the proceeds from every album will go to support our excellent local shelters and humane charities. May this album inspire
you along your own Road to caring for the animals in your community.

Of special interest to me is the track Black Hounds of Cŵn Annwn. After a particularly troubling read of an ASPCA account of a dog hoarding situation I couldn’t sleep that night. My own little puppy girl, Gypsy, snuggled closer and whispered in my ear, “make some music for them please.” So I got up in the middle of the night and out came the haunting Celtic melody for Black Hounds. I continued work on it and found ways to express my feelings with music about the people who carelessly neglect and abuse dogs and other animals. In this track you can hear the Black Hounds as they keen in the dark mist for their fellows.

The tracks on this album are electronic in nature and are meant to be either (as the cover says) for Dancin’ and Nappin’. The tunes are a fun fusion of electronic and orchestral with ethnic stylings and range from upbeat techno and disco sounds to more ambient and soothing chillout nature. The wonderfully rich mix of melody and beat will keep your paws tappin’ and your ears perked up, happy and content!
